HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Connecticut health officials released new interim COVID-19 vaccination guidelines that contradicted recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It created a divide between state and federal guidance.
On Tuesday, the CDC updated its guidance. It removed children under age 2 and pregnant women from the list of groups for whom COVID-19 vaccination was recommended.
However, Connecticut officials advised the opposite. They said children under 2 should receive one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and that pregnant women should also receive one dose.
